Amélie Beauregard MBA, CIM®
Associate Portfolio Manager
Since receiving her first paycheque at the age of 14, Amélie was introduced to the world of personal finance by her father. He taught her the importance of regular savings and the value of dividend stocks in portfolios. Although to most teenagers this may have been boring, Amélie developed a passion for investing and a taste for growing personal wealth.
After graduating with a BCom specializing in Finance from the University of Ottawa, Amélie started her career at the Royal Bank of Canada assisting Canadian retail clients with their investment needs. She then transitioned into the mutual fund world where she most recently worked at NEI Investments on the Institutional Sales team. In this capacity, she developed experience working with pension, not-for-profit and high-net-worth clients on investment management and client servicing.
Amélie joined Newport in August of 2018. She is an Associate Portfolio Manager and is also responsible for supporting Newport’s referral partner network. Amelie earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) holder.
A week doesn’t go by without Amélie either sailing on Lake Ontario or running along its shores. Amélie volunteers her time as a member of the finance committee of her sailing club and remains an active violin player in a downtown Toronto community orchestra.
