Vincent E. Didkovsky MSc, CPA, CA, CFA, CBV, FEA
Director of Wealth Management
Vincent Didkovsky will tell you his mission in life is to: “help people achieve their full potential.” Judging by what he’s accomplished so far, he knows of what he speaks.
An academic high achiever, Vincent completed the CPA, CA and CFA exams at the same time.
He also obtained the Chartered Business Valuator designation because, as he explains it, “The CBV designation enabled me to help clients understand the value of their business.” In addition to his professional designations, he also completed a Master of Science degree in Finance at Queen’s University.
For the past ten years, Vincent has been a practising accountant, first at Deloitte and most recently with a mid-sized firm where he specialized in tax planning for high-net-worth individuals.
Vincent’s passion for continuing education led him to complete the intensive CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax course, which he now teaches part-time. He stays abreast of developments by contributing as a speaker and a writer on various tax issues. One of his articles is referenced in Canada’s Income Tax Act.
Vincent joined Newport in early 2019 out of a desire to provide holistic solutions and establish deeper relationships with families facing complex wealth management issues. He is working towards becoming registered as a portfolio manager as well as earning the Family Enterprise Advisor designation.
Remarkably, Vince has spare time – during which he enjoys playing hockey and golf, as well as participating in high-endurance events, modeled after military special forces training.
