Jason Trueman, TEP, CLU

Jason Trueman began his career as an insurance underwriter with Chubb Insurance, where he built a strong foundation in financial services and developed an early interest in helping clients manage risk. That experience continues to shape his practical, client-first approach today.

He later joined AIG in Bermuda, where he broadened his international experience and gained valuable insight into various complex financial instruments. After several years abroad, he returned to Kingston to continue his career in private wealth management.

“My desire to help families and business owners manage risk and build wealth led me to private wealth planning,” says Jason. “Joining Newport Private Wealth fulfills a goal to be part of a firm that values both comprehensive wealth and estate planning with a fiduciary duty to clients.”

Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University and is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), and CFA® charterholder.

Active in his community, Jason leads a group of volunteers who host the annual Kingston Kids Triathlon. Jason is also a Director of the Kingston and District Sports Hall of Fame. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, staying active, and spending time outdoors.
