Newport Private Wealth Announces New Leadership Team

Newport Private Wealth Office

Kevin Dean is appointed Chief Executive Officer, Jordan Schwann President, and Matt Reynolds Chief Growth Officer. Co-founder Douglas Brown moves into the role of Chairman.

Newport Private Wealth has a new leadership team. Douglas Brown, one of the firm’s three founders, moves into the role of Chairman. Kevin Dean has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, Jordan Schwann President, and Matt Reynolds Chief Growth Officer. Mark Kinney, also a co-founder, continues as Chief Investment Officer.

The appointments are the result of succession planning that has been underway at Newport for years. Dean, Schwann and Reynolds bring close to 50 years of combined experience at the firm. All three grew as leaders alongside Newport’s executive team and took on greater responsibility over time in preparation for the roles they now hold.

“Watching Kevin, Jordan and Matt develop and grow as leaders within this firm has been immensely rewarding,” said Brown. “I have every confidence that Newport and its clients are in highly capable hands as the team continues helping families plan for their futures and build lasting legacies for generations to come.”

As Chairman, Brown will focus on Newport’s long-term strategic direction, governance and key client relationships. Dean, Schwann and Reynolds assume full operating authority for the firm.

Earlier this year the firm marked the retirement of David Lloyd, who built Newport’s wealth planning practice as Chief Wealth Officer and stepped down at the end of June. The practice he built remains a cornerstone of what Newport offers clients.
