Brent Peacock has spent more than three decades working with business owners and families, bringing firsthand experience as both an insurance advisor and an entrepreneur.

In his early twenties, he founded Peacock Sheridan Group in Kelowna and grew it into an established advisory firm focused on planning for business owners. At the same time, he co-founded and built Metro Liquor, a BC-based specialty liquor store, helping scale the business over two decades. That experience, navigating growth, managing partners, securing financing, and working through the realities of business ownership, continues to shape how he advises clients today.

Ultimately, Brent’s approach is grounded in listening first and understanding what matters most before moving toward solutions. He sees his role as an advocate and connector, bringing together the right people and expertise to help clients navigate complex decisions, particularly around succession, major transitions, and long-term planning.

The decision to join Newport Private Wealth came through strong cultural alignment, bringing together two firms with a shared philosophy around planning, relationships, and long-term thinking. Today, Brent continues to work closely with clients while also helping to shape the broader vision of the practice.

Born and raised in Kelowna, Brent is deeply connected to the community. He has served as a board member of the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, supported initiatives such as the Heart of Gold Gala and BrainTrust Canada, contributed to the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club, and is a regular donor to Canadian Blood Services.

Outside of work, Brent enjoys travelling with his family, spending time outdoors, and staying active. He is a golfer and also enjoys fly fishing and hiking throughout British Columbia.
